Extended Day Program

What is it?

The Extended Day Program is a continuation of the 3's and 4's morning classes. It provides the children an opportunity for extra time in the classroom and further socialization with their classmates.

In keeping with our philosophy, choices of play and learning materials will be available for free play indoors and outdoors.  Time will be set aside for the children to eat lunch together in class.  Lunch is provided by the parent.

When is it held?

Who teaches it?

The Extended Day Program will follow the morning classes from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm.  This program runs from September through June.

Extended Day will be offered to members of the 3's & 4's classes on any day their morning class meets:
five days per week for the 4's class, three days per week for the 3's class.

Substitutions or one-time pick-up of days are not permitted. There must be 6 children enrolled on any given day to hold an Extended Day class. We will be offering Extended Day on any day Monday through Friday for which the minimum enrollment is met.  Enrollment will close at 12 children.
Emily Silverman, our 2's Class Teacher, teaches the Extended Day Program.  Additionally, one co-oping parent stays for each class.  The class consists of of 6-12 children.

The amount of co-oping required by any one parent will be determined by the number of days the child is enrolled in the Extended Day program.
