2's Class Teachers

Picture

Robyn Celestino
2's Class Teacher

Robyn is thrilled to be joining GPNS as the 2’s lead teacher. Her son is a current GPNS student, and her daughter is a recent GPNS graduate. Robyn immediately loved everything about the warm and welcoming co-op environment at GPNS and she knew pretty quickly that she wanted to be involved with the school both as a parent AND as a teacher. She is so excited to learn and play with all of your amazing children this year!

Robyn’s previous teaching experience includes working as a kindergarten and first grade special education inclusion teacher for MCPS. She is also a former PEP teacher who worked with preschool students with special needs in both inclusion and self-contained classrooms.

Robyn loved working as the GPNS summer program leader this past summer. Robyn is a tutor and works as a special education consultant outside of her job as the 2’s teacher.

Robyn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. She has a Maryland Advanced Professional Certificate to teach early childhood education and special education and is IMSE Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham trained (reading program).

Mikaela Nau
2's Class Assistant and Extended Day Lead Teacher

Mikaela is the 2’s Class Assistant and the Extended Day Teacher. Mikaela grew up in Garrett Park and attended Montgomery County schools beginning with Garrett Park Elementary School.

She is the mother of a recent GPNS alumni (her daughter is now entering first grade at GPES). Mikaela fell in love with GPNS after having co-oped alongside her daughter when she attended GPNS.

Mikaela has known since very early in life that she wanted to work with children. She received her 90+ Clock Hour Certification while she was at Walter Johnson High School and attended Radford University where she focused on early childhood education. She received her Health Coaching Certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2023.
